The History of Mental Asylums
The word asylum comes from the earliest religious institutions which provided asylum in the sense of refuge to the mentally ill. The one I visited almost felt like a primary school as well. It's this sort of brightly lit, kind of nondescript, very, I guess, impersonal. Stick things on the wall. Nice affirmations. Like, yeah.
