Maven was the very first database and service I use to create samples when I start doing research in the in the FOPS. It's really interesting you got to expose to a whole new set of companies and customers that you normally would not. In a way it was similar to VC in the sense that you look at lots and lots of different industries and verticals on a normal day, whereas in most companies you're basically looking at your product and your company. The classic example being Airbnb versus Uber one is far more defensible and scalable than the other.
