The Importance of Speculation in Science
In terms of what is observable, the Big Bang is as far as we can go, right? There's a strange way we can observe the Big Bang, correct me if I'm wrong. We can't observe anything before that. So as soon as you go before, you are in the realm of speculation. Now, speculation is fine. It's good to do a bit of philosophizing about it. And sometimes, I don't know if this is a case. Again, the physicist will correct me ifI'm wrong. But for those, my personal take is I'd actually invite people to elucidate quite a lot more clearly what their assumptions are and what they're trying to achieve
