How Does Your Approach to the Noral Science of Consciousness Compare to Other Theories?

The heart problem is supposed to capture the mysteriousness and intractability of a scientific account of consciousness. It's the idea that we all know that conscious experiences relate to physical systems such as brains, but we have no good idea why this should happen. How does the brain work in ways that can, at least in principle, be accounted for in terms of mechanisms? We don't know what the solution will be, but there's no seeming impossibility of constructing an explanation given some sufficiently complicated mechanismi you divide things this way.
