The Supreme Court Strikes Down the Affordable Care Act
A federal judge in Texas recently struck down this Affordable Care Act policy which is the mandate that private health insurers fully cover preventative care services at no cost to patients. The ruling means that insurers no longer have to provide free coverage for any care of the United States preventative services task force has recommended since 2010. This includes mostly screenings like one for anxiety and children, one for unhealthy drug use and a third for weight getting pregnant women. It also includes the recommendation for PrEP which is that daily pill that's really effective at preventing the transmission of HIV.
