How Do Vector Vaccines Work?

Vaccines work by deploying something in the body that's as close to the actual virus as possible, but doesn't do nearly as much harm. There are two ways you could possibly do so: vector vaccines and mRNA vaccines. In a case of adenovirus, people studying it has told us what genes you could cut out and allow the virus to infect the cell, but not cause any disease. Instead of doing selection on it, you actually genetically modify it.
