The Tory Party's Polarisation on Climate Change
We've had a long period of cross-party consensus that anthropogenic climate change is real and you should probably do something about it. There's much less of that now, and the polling suggests that people are now very positive. I think there's a really weird dynamic going on, which is that politics is lagged behind whether people were or are on this and then the people have jumped ahead. It was bizarre to see Labour responding to their loss in Oxbridge around U-LES. Most people, most people in London actually support U-LES, which wasn't the situation five years ago. And so, politics seems to be fracturing at the moment that the people are actually coming together.
