Can We Make Photons Electrons?

photons already replace electrons as far as communication is concerned. And we can we go to computing as well, right? We have communication and computing, both are there. In communication, the photons are already replaced electrons in almost all the places. Now coming to computing, right, can be replaced like that. That's a long way off because having photonic integrated chips, a cost effective as well as high computing performing chips is something which is still a challenge.
