The Fed's Authority in CBD

I would be quite surprised if the Fed tried to create a retail CBDC without congressional authority. But I nevertheless agree that it is also true, as Norbert pointed out, that the personalities and power really matter. To both of you then, who in Congress is speaking up for their own authority here? Emer, majority with Emer is one person. Senator Mike Lee is another person. The Cruz, Senator Cruz is another person that's off the top of my head.
