Using TypeScript in a JSX Framework Is a Big Advantage
The more prescriptive you can be, the less mental it is to use TypeScript. You're less likely to have these kind of null errors where you're not properly handling a null or knowledge value. And like you said, just pass the undefined on as if it was the string value. Or hi, comma, nothing.
