The Effects of Training Status on Hypertrophy in Intermediate Lifters
We're not really talking about the advanced kind of very high level bodybuilder who's experiencing very small amounts of muscle growth. So we're still describing an intermediate population. And I don't think we'd be talking about 18 sets per week as being the maximum possible doses that causes hypertic above which we don't really see any further increases. But if we use, like for just giving myself as a practical application example, I could never go in and do eight sets for a muscle group twice a week. There's no there'd be no active recovery.
