In the late 1970s, NASA held a couple of workshops bringing astronomers together. This was really driven by the SETI people who wanted to find life intelligent life in the universe. And they tried to map out like, okay, what kind of technologies do we need and everybody focused on that wobble method. But there was this one guy, Bill Baruki, who was like, no, no,no, the transit method, the eclipse little eclipses, that should work.
