The investor's boat was still anchored the next day, September 7th. This confused some of the other fishermen as they thought Mark had headed out long before everyone else. Not long after around 4pm, smoke was seen rising up from the horizon. The casino captain blew their horn and crewmates yelled towards the skiff but it wouldn't stop. A young man was seen piloting a small boat who said that yes, there were people still on the boat.
