In the mid-70s companies moved towards aligning executive carder with shareholders and motivating them through getting paid by shares. We saw a very explicit version of this with a company called 3G who are basically corporate raiders, activist investors. They'd accumulated a 10 billion fund and they took out Burger King, Anhoyza Bush, Kraft and then they took out Heinz and then they merged Kraft and Heinz.
