As you put the two channels out of phase, you boost the undesirable frequency horribly on one of the channels. And then you just feed it in from zero up until and you'll hear the thing you don't want to hear anymore go away. "It's really cool and on top of that it has this cool phase shifty sound to it that's really psychedelic," he says.
