Tiko's Trap on the New Star

The geohenio-centric system was Tiko's way of dealing with both the petroleumic system and the Copernian system. It was based on his observations of the supernova or the new star in 1572 and the 1577 comet. He came up with an idea that the sun and the moon circling the earth, whereas the rest of the planets would circulate the sun. The reason why he ended up with this system has generally been assumed to be the underestimating of the distances to the stars.
