I think getting to write in a newspaper is a very lucky thing because you're always looking around and seeing where your piece is fitting into a larger narrative of what is considered news. And I feel like I have a small room in my house that's full of my books and resembles my brain in that there's no order at all. Do you go into the office? Who do you talk to about this stuff? You know, you're also trying to tweeze out what is newsworthy, what is interesting, what is vital about this book.
