In no scenario, can this many humans thrive in the absence of a vast renaissance in nuclear power or continued burning of fossil fuels. Even if we just take it as an axiom that we should emit far less carbon, there's no way to do that without destroying the standard of living average on the planetwithout going to nuclear power.
