We have 140 to 144 millimoles per liter of sodium in our body. Our body's extracellular fluid is 0.9% sodium, which means what that's nine grams of sodium per liter. We're introducing heaps of fluid into my body, but it's the same concentration as my blood and extacellular fluid anyway. So I get an expansion of ext racellular fluid with no changes in tenacity or osmolarity - meaning there's no net movement of water into or out of the cell. And so they're not beautiful, horrible, but I got it right.
