Philip Hall was rather more enamoured of no-all coward I think this book is fairly tough on coward. in the book that Olive Sowden writes about you know this great sort of persona of a bit all coming very easily and slightly languid but underneath that there were troubles. He had breakdowns and exhausts when it was all quite overwhelming which he kept out of his public persona isn't it?
