You chronicled the rise of the Federal Reserve. How have you seen its mandate drift? I believe maybe was in the sixties that it came up with the idea of stable employment and stable inflation, the dual mandate. But then there's sort of a hidden mandate that asset prices shouldn't go down. And if asset prices crack, that means they were too high and we'll survive.
