The Importance of Suffering
Suffering well transforms hearts and people see it in you, says Pope Francis. "There are parts of the human heart that do not exist until such time as suffering makes them to be or suffering opens them up" The virtuous life is a sacrifice like bringing a child into the world; if one isn't willing to make that sacrifice, then there's no humility for those who have been ground down.
