The Evolution of Monogamy

The advantages that caused monogamy to spread in recent evolutionary history are advantages that we should value. For every male who has multiple partners, there will be at least one male who has none. Those sexually frustrated males can very easily be turned into an army to seeka profit abroad. A flip side of this is that when you reach the end of an opportunity, when a population has grown and expanded as far as it can, polygamy will tend to break down.
