When i was growing up, iawa wootang clon was extremely important for me. My daughter has listened to more future and a waly then you can believe. In my first book, i explicitly say that i am not writing musicology. People seem to think that if you stop believing or identifying as a race, then that music becomes something that's not part of who you ared. I just wanted o say, when were go for this is what i'm trying to tell people: questioning and ultimately rejecting racial essentialism does not mean that you have to toss away the cultural traditions and and and achievements that mean something to you.
