Bitcoin's value is rooted directly in energy. Takes energy to produce it just like it takes energy to produce gold, for instance. And it does it in a way that you don't need banking inferstuctora actualy doesn't mean you can't have it. You can still put your bit coin on deposit with banks and issue currencies on top of them but it's not required.
