The Second Advent, the Return of Christ

In 2 Timothy chapter 2 verses 15 to 19 Paul talks about certain persons who are teaching godlessness and unsound doctrine. He says in verse 17, among them are Hymenaeus and Philethus who have swerved from the truth by holding that the resurrection is past already. So here are people who taught this bizarre doctrine that the resurrection was already past. Since the day of the resurrection is the day of Christ's return, in fact they were saying that the second advent had already occurred and the resurrection ispast already.
