Nazi leader George Lincoln Rockwell was killed by a fellow Nazi, John Patler. The two men were involved in the Chicago Open Housing protests of 1966 and 1967. King: "I've never seen anything like it" when he met counter-protesters who shouted white power at MLK's marchers. White power took up as a concept and as a slogan and still remains popular today.
