There is no evidence that an active recovery session makes you perform better the next day in a high intensity session. Any movement creates blood flow, and blood flow carries oxygen. Oxygen repairs damaged muscles. So there's a reason why we would want to move,. Whether it's going for a walk, whetherit's going for an easy jog, or spinning the bike at 50, 60 whats, hundred whats, whatever. Just movement so that you're getting blood flow.
