The International Hotel
The Vegas hotel room goes through such an evolution over the course of the film. It becomes a place you just don't want to be like the room gets sick throughout the film. For me, it was, he's sitting at the piano in the dark in the room, but the lights of Vegas are still shining on him. He's never going to escape that. And even when he stands up, again, it's one of those scenes where the camera is very slow and elegant and observational. That was my third style of expressing the story.
