Taliban had what it needed, which was people not willing to fight against and a drive to take over the country as quickly as possible. What's left of the afgan security forces who were supposed to prevent exactly this from happening are members of afghan society now. All that's really left to do at this point is hide, stay, or get out of afghanistan if you want to leave. This is also america's fault for not working hard enough to get these people out - they will probably die at the hands of talaban or others.
