Kant, Are We Moving the Ball Down the Field?

Kant: We need to believe that we're moving the ball down the field a little bit. And through our humble efforts that we're participating in something much greater than ourselves and advancing the progress of humanity. I don't know that we can address all of the sort of student anxiety that kids are feeling today, simply to the issue of climate change. Some of the things that Kant develops in terms of norms of honor, norms of politeness, if internalized by elites can provide a kind of more of a sense of a kind of common purpose and a sense of hope and achievement on the part of akind of common society.
