The Effects of Vitamin C on the Immune System

Vitamin C may be more effective for people under high levels of physical stress, such as marathon runners and super active people. No consistent evidence or strong evidence that vitamin C prevents colds in these therapeutic trials. Taking too much vitamin C can actually lead to some detrimental health effects like kidney stones. Good sources of zinc include meat, shellfish, legumes, likes chickpeas, lentils, beans, seeds, nuts, dairy, eggs, whole grains.
