Sharon's Account of David's Stabbing
Sharon said David begged her not to call for help after he was stabbed. She claimed they cleaned up the blood together and then had affectionate sex. The prosecution argued that Sharon's grasp of the truth was flimsy at best. There were defensive injuries on David's body, including one through his fingernail which was a similar age to the fatal wound. This suggests that David knew he was being attacked and tried to defend himself. A number of witnesses who had known David for a long time told how he had confided in them about their abusive suffering.
