The Economy of Style in Television
The screenplay is so well written because it's an example of like the economy of style in that it doesn't have to be long with a lot of words telling us or telling the filmmakers making it what's going to happen. The theme that I found when I reread it was that a lot of times, what's his name, Chievsky uses like, it's like imperial language. It becomes prosaic when we have the guy talking on television to the masses. And like you were saying about the 50s through the like, and the transition into the 70s, I think it's interesting for people to keep track of how TV has changed over time.
