The idea of baking empathy into a business from the start, to me, is a no brainer. So go beyond the resume and ask for examples of when did you help a colleague? Tell me about an extraordinary customer service rience that you provided. The person that's curious in asking questions actually wants to understand why you have that feedback. For them, that's empathy. And if you are a small start rightand that is part of your value system, that empathy is baked into everything you do, is part ofyour mission.
