I've Never Successfully Had Stone Walling

I've been on boarded to a company where the structure is very clear. I don't know why it's not like just continually updated in a document or something so that people know who their direct managers are and who their managers managers are. You still need to have the lay of the land if someone's new. Next thing here, stone walling due to job boundaries. Some people will simply refuse to step outside of their given responsibilities.
