We're going to tell a tale of two parkers The first parker we're going to talk about is Junia Parker the Blues musician who had been one of the Beale Streeters with Johnny Ace, Bobby Blue Bland and BB King. In 1952, he formed his own band, The Blue Flames which had not been confused with all the other flames bands we've talked about. Ike Turner discovered them and initially got them sound to modern records Though as with many modern records acts, they were recording mostly in Sam Phillips's studio.
