The Differences Between the Over 65 and Under 15 Population

Over 65s and under 15s are vastly different ethnically. Three quarters of the over 65 population will be Pākiha, six or seven percent Asian. The school age population is much more diverse. 50 to 60 percent who will be Makaori, Pāsifika, or Asian in 2030s. Very different shift from where we have been.
