How I Got Working With Rolling Stone
In the 60s, Janis Joplin was working as a photographer in San Francisco. She met Rolling Stone editor Ralph Gleason while taking pictures of local bands. The two decided to work together on an article about rock and roll music. They agreed she would shoot for free; he then invested 10 grand into their project.
