A strong brand name and a good ad matters for a lot here. If you can rhythmically spot the people most ready to purchase, i guarantee you your sale staff would like to know that. For whatever reason, conversion rate is independent of the position of the ad you clicked on. So being in the first position on google search results does have an advantage in prominence but it doesn't seem to be true that they higher quality clicks will convert better.
