The Pine-barons is the largest undeveloped area of land in the Mid-Atlantic seaboard. There are 1.1 million acres of forest, and beneath it all are underground aquifers that contain 17 trillion gallons of pure drinking water. The local Anape tribe of Native Americans tell stories of the Minatitek, the wood dwarves, who live in the forest.
