The act of mining cobalt is particularly dangerous because the soil is fairly unstable. In any one caven, you know, 70 a hundred miners can perish,. especially if they're working in a kind of illegal fashion. Apple and tassle have both made efforts to clean up their supply chain. Other companies as well need to look at their supply train.

Cobalt is powering the electric vehicle revolution, but much of the world’s supply is mined under deadly conditions in Congo. Journalist Nicolas Niarchos explains Congo's resource curse.
