Women and Poverty in the U.K.
Nearly half of all single parent led families and now living in poverty. Around 90 % of single parent headed families are headed by women. We have to talk about why it is that women are more likely to be poor, than their children. And we've already seen an increase of referables before the school went off for new families on what the schools thought were neglect cases. But when it's been started to be unpicked and it's started to be dug into, it's not neglected. It's just that there's no money.
