The Importance of Neutrality in Liberalism
Jacob Levy: The most important thing is to take away the initial intuition about why neutrality is something that people think of as a association with liberalism at all. He says we can have a self-sustaining liberal order, but we have to work at it. And while there are some attractive things about that in a variety of settings, there can also be unattractive things about it if what we care about are free people living freely.
