The Contradiction Between Feminism and Equal Treatment

Feminism is just the idea that men and women should be equal. Almost everyone will sign up for it, apart from a handful of reactionary sheikers in Saudi Arabia. It's taking a word that's in common use and saying we're going to go and make it work for us - which isn't how people actually use the word. There are all sorts of reasons why you wouldn't necessarily want to use a word of quality. And also you're right that it's so wishy-washy that basically everyone's going to sign up for feminism.
