Powell: The market is incredibly sensitive to anything that happens with the fed. When they hear from the fed, they seem to feel better, right? Powell: In the days leading up to his speech, the market had gone through a process of perhaps getting a little bit too irrational with respect to expectations. He says hearing him re state that the fed is still going to be somewhat measured in their approach probably was the trigger.
