Am, for those who are not familiar with the inferno or with dante, it would be helpful if you could actually explain a few of the examples. For example, there's a section about what happens to lovers who are attrapped in hell. And i think that what this is also about is this experience of erotic love, which is so powerful for dante in his own life. The compulsions that arise when you fall in love can be your undoing, as much as the making of you.
