The Pleasure of God in the Death of His Son
God himself did this, and God himself was pleased to do it. What great assurance his delight in the death of his son provides for sinners. Salvation in Christ is not based on a whim or an accident. As Jesus says, John 16, 27, the Father himself loves you.
