Learn the Basics of Pitch Accent
If you just want to have a basic survival level of Japanese, it's probably not worth your time to think about pitch accent. But the other thing is that even if you don't want to have like perfect native like Japanese and you're going just for a more intermediate level, there's basically the 80-20 rule applies to pitch accent as well. You can learn just the very basics of pitch accent, like the most important principles, which will only take you a couple hours of study like once. And though, and that will have like rippling effects through your Japanese and end up making a significant improvement in your pronunciation.
