Is There a Consequence for Nixon's Resignation?

The idea that, like, with the Nixon era after Watergate, Nixon, when Nixon resigns, that is maybe the last time that there were real consequences for the highest office. After that, you know, Clinton's impeachment, Trump's impeachment, whatever, it doesn't mean anything. So really what they're doing is saying, we cannot, Nixon should not have had a consequence. We got to make sure that there's never a consequence ever again. And unfortunately that meant for everybody, for like, I don't know why,. If it didn't happen, then when is it ever going to happen again?
